Australia’s The Yongala

Off the coast of Queensland, the Yongala is nothing but a shipwreck. However, it thrives with marine life as they have embraced the shipwreck as their home. You will see sea snakes, manta rays, turtles, octopuses, tiger sharks, clouds of fish, and of course, enchanting corals. 

In 1911, the ship sank as a cyclone hit it, killing 122 people at the site. Also, the shipwreck killed a red Lincolnshire bull and a racehorse, Moonshine. As Yongala didn’t have any telegraph facilities, it didn’t receive any warning about the weather ahead. After almost 70 years, it received official protection under the Act of Historic Shipwrecks. Now the water residents have made the ship their breeding ground.
