Most of the people dream of diving into the water properly. The proper dive involves entering into the water correctly and maintaining proper momentum while you are in there. If you are not fearing about the water, then you are capable of making that proper dive into it. There is no need for you to be a professional diver for this and if you practice enough, you can do it with ease. The first thing that you have to remember here is diving properly into the water means to avoid any kind of neck injuries. You shouldn’t hurt your abdomen or lower back either. Here are some of the essential tips that will help in diving like a pro.
Sit on the edge of the swimming pool, place your feet on the wall of the swimming pool and your buttocks should be touching the end of the pool. Raise the hands and keep them in the shape of an arrow. Slowly move the hands in arrow position and touch swimming pool. Your breastbone should touch your knees and hands should touch the water. Now remove your feet from the wall and straighten them. Stay in the same position in water for 3-5 seconds.
Sit on the edge of the pool and let your buttocks touch your heals, if this is not possible then try to bend as much as you can. Keep your hands in the same position as in above exercise and bend as much as you can into the water. Marinating the balance in this exercise is a little tough and you have to put in some more efforts. If you attain the required balance, then you can proceed further with ease. Now slowly lift your buttocks and make a 90-degree angle. The arrow of your hand should direct to the bottom of the pool.
Now you have to jump directly into the water. This may scare you a bit but believe me it is doable. Most of the people remove their hands from the arrow shape and this is the reason why they get hurt. Do not fear about the water and do not remove the arrow shape that you have formed in the starting. The distance between you and water will look close and this is the reason why most of the people life their palms. If you do that you will fall directly on your stomach. Dive into the water in the same position that has been told above. The hands should be in arrow shape only.
When you get to understand that you are losing the balance, stretch out the body and leap lightly. Stay in the water for three to five seconds. It is better to have a coach or person familiar with diving beside you while doing this. Because it is important for you to land safely in the water without messing up. So be extra careful when you are diving into the water now.
Diving isn’t something that can be done with highly experienced people only. Anyone can dive with proper experience.
